As one of the founding partners of Emmay Entertainment, Monisha Advani’s key responsibility is to lead the company’s overall business strategy and growth. She also mentors the succession planning at Emmay, handpicking future leaders and their career development. Since its inception in 2011, Emmay Entertainment has grown to be among India’s top 5 production houses, serving over 20,000 direct and indirect hires annually, and audiences across theatrical and web platforms. Box office successes like Airlift, Batla House and Mrs Chatterjee versus Norway, and acclaimed web series like Rocket Boys, Mumbai Diaries and Freedom at Midnight are among the 34 titles produced by the company.
Prior to Emmay Entertainment, Advani served as Managing Director Randstad India (2005-2009).... Her foray into HR commenced when she co-founded EmmayHR in 1996, which grew into a leading recruitment and staffing services company, which was acquired by Randstad Holdings NV. Notably, this was the Dutch giant’s first Asian acquisition.
Advani is also credited to support and mentor entrepreneurship and her achievements in this area include angel investments and board appointments in companies like India Food Network, BoomLive, Decision Fuel, Jombay, to name a few. She has also been part of MyFirstCheque, a consortium of like-minded early stage investors that backed companies like OfferGrid and PoshVine.
She is a regular speaker at leading international platforms such as the graduating MBA class of Darden Business School, ISB, IITB among others. Her pet subjects are centered around understanding the current business landscape in India, evolving consumerism, effective management and most recently, the soft power of the entertainment industry. Most recently, she spoke at the Indian Global Forum’s NXT25 Summit in Mumbai and at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, spotlighting India’s creative economy on the global stage.
Her recent list of industry recognitions includes Outlook Business Woman of the Year (2018) and Inspiring Woman Entrepreneur by Business World (2019). She has also been included in THE LIST 2023, 2024, & 2025 published under the esteemed banner of Jombay's 1000 Women Leaders Program. This accolade was earned through a democratic popular vote.
A native of Mumbai, Advani credits her success to being a voracious reader. She is also a proficient cook and has developed a deep interest in food technology as a way of sustaining workforces. To this end, she is an advisor and mentor to the founders of the award-winning restaurant Masque, Sage & Saffron and Coffee by DiBella.
A professional with over three decades of entrepreneurial experience, Madhu Bhojwani has co-founded a slew of business enterprises. She started her career with a student counseling service in 1989, an outlier in its time, followed by taking on the challenge of co-founding & building EmmayHR in 1996, one of India’s premier Recruitment, Staffing & HR companies. In 2005, EmmayHR was acquired by Randstad Holdings nv, making it the Dutch global leader’s first Asian acquisition, she subsequently exited the organization in 2009 as CEO of the Executive Search & Permanent Recruitment Division.

In 2011, Bhojwani went on to co-found Emmay Entertainment and over the past decade her role has included the company’s co-steerage to making it one of India’s leading content production houses. She has built a formidable reputation as a strong leader in the media and entertainment industry.
Currently she serves as Vice-President at the Producers’ Guild of India (PGI) and is a member of the PGI POSH Committee. In June 2021, she was invited to join the Grievance Redressal Board formed by the Digital Publisher’s Content Grievances Council (DPCGC). The board is chaired by retired supreme court justice Arjan Kumar Sikri with prominent personalities from across the country serving as members.
In her personal capacity, Bhojwani is an early-stage angel investor in companies such as Ping Digital (India Food Network), OutCue Media (BoomLive) and Decision Fuel (exited in 2014 through a strategic sale to YouGov).
A health and fitness enthusiast, her other interests include travel and music.
Nikkhil Advani is a National Award-winning filmmaker from India. He is a director, producer, screenwriter, and co-founder of Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures, based in Mumbai. Advani’s feature films as a director include Kal Ho Naa Ho, Chandni Chowk to China, Salaam-e-Ishq, Patiala House, Batla House, D-Day, Vedaa, and Delhi Safari, among others.
Through Emmay Entertainment, founded in 2011, he has spearheaded a wide range of successful projects, such as Airlift, national-award winning Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, along with acclaimed shows like Mumbai Diaries (Prime Video), Rocket Boys (SonyLiv) and the ambitious adaptation of Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins’s classic Freedom at Midnight (SonyLiv). Beyond filmmaking, Nikkhil actively contributes to the cultural and social sector. He serves on the boards of the Sanctuary Nature Foundation, G5A Foundation for Contemporary Art & Culture, Women in Film – India, and most recently he has founded Sumitra Gupta Foundation for the Arts (SGFA) - a foundation that supports creative and artistic projects across disciplines.”
As a chartered accountant since 2011, Salil boasts of rich cross-industry experience in the field of Finance. Currently, Salil heads the Finance department at Emmay and is responsible for contributing to organization-wide projects and initiatives, implementing processes and controls, and managing key P&L and treasury management decisions for the company.
Before this, he was the Group Finance Controller and a member of the Global Finance team at a Media Conglomerate. Additionally, he has worked in External Audit, Taxation, and Financial Reporting during his six-year tenure at Grant Thornton.
Outside of Emmay, Salil is passionate about cricket and enjoys listening to and dancing to music.
With a career in the movies spanning the past 30 years, Anaita Sukeshwala, also known as Annie, currently leads production at Emmay. She is responsible for forging strategic alliances and maintaining an extensive network, nurturing enduring relationships with vendors, artists, and corporate clients alike.
Prior to her role at Emmay, Annie has had a dynamic career spanning ad films, feature films, and television productions. She has spearheaded acclaimed productions such as “Break Ke Baad” and “My Bollywood Bride” and has collaborated with industry giants in advertising like Genesis, Equionox White Light, and Corcoise, among others.
During her spare time, Annie is on the lookout for new haunts throughout Bandra.
With over two decades of experience in the Indian film industry, prior to her notable contribution as an Associate Producer at Emmay Entertainment since the last four years, Meenakshi Sharma has worked as a content creator in various corporate studios including UTV-Disney studios, Balaji Motion Pictures and Reliance Big Pictures.
She has worked on feature films spanning a range of genres from ‘Mrs.Chatterjee vs Norway’ directed by Ashima Chibber to ‘’Kai Po Che’ by Abhishek Kapoor to ‘Dirty Picture’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ by Milan Luthria, to writing Govind Nihalani’s critically acclaimed Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Dev’. After an early education at the Welham Girls School, Dehradun and Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, she started as an assistant director to Govind Nihalani at the age of 21 and has followed her passion for cinema ever since.
With a career spanning 20 years in the arts, Revanta Sarabhai is an actor, dancer, and choreographer turned filmmaker. He currently heads Content and Development at Emmay. Revanta represents the third generation of artists from the legendary Sarabhai family, following in the footsteps of his grandmother Mrinalini and mother Mallika Sarabhai. Before joining Emmay, Revanta had been performing and touring internationally as a dancer and theatre actor since 1999. He made his debut as a film actor in 2017 and has starred in five Gujarati feature films while also hosting a popular dance reality show on TV.
At Emmay, Revanta has served as an associate director on the critically acclaimed show Rocket Boys (season 2) and as a creative producer on the Amazon Prime Video film, Dry Day. Currently, he is working as an associate director on the upcoming web series, Freedom at Midnight.
In his spare time, Revanta enjoys playing badminton, dancing salsa, and cooking for friends.
